Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. About these terms
These terms and conditions apply to any quote, project or service provided by MC CAD Services ("we", "us", "our") to a client ("you", "your"). By requesting a quote, accepting a quote, or instructing us to proceed with work, you agree to these terms.
2. Scope of our services
MC CAD Services provides CAD drafting and documentation, including electrical layouts and as-built drawings, single-line diagrams, site-development plans, town-planning CAD documentation, existing-building and measured drawings, PDF-to-DWG conversion, and drawing revisions and CAD clean-ups.
We provide drafting and documentation only. We do not provide engineering design, structural or electrical design, professional certification, or regulatory approval. Single-line diagrams and technical layouts are drawn strictly from information that you or your appointed professional have already approved. Engineering design, certification, and professional or municipal approval remain the responsibility of the relevant appointed professional — for example a professional engineer, town planner, or architect. Nothing produced by MC CAD Services should be relied on as a substitute for sign-off, certification, or approval by that appointed professional.
3. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are provided in writing based on the information, source material and scope you supply. A quote is valid for the period stated in the quote, or for 30 days if no period is stated. If the scope of work changes once drafting has started — for example, additional drawings, a significant change to source material, or extra revisions beyond what was scoped — we will provide a revised quote before continuing.
4. Client-supplied information
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any information, measurements, specifications, schedules, photographs or files you supply to us. We draw to the information provided; we do not independently verify site conditions, structural adequacy, electrical loads, or compliance with any code, standard or regulation unless separately and expressly agreed in writing.
5. Drafts and revisions
A draft is issued for your review before final files are produced. Reasonable revisions within the original scope of a project are included. Revisions that go beyond the original scope, or requested after final files have been issued, may be quoted and billed separately.
6. Delivery and file formats
Final files are delivered electronically in the format agreed at quote stage — typically DWG and/or DXF alongside a PDF of each sheet. It is your responsibility to check that delivered files open and print correctly in your own software before relying on them.
7. Payment terms
Payment terms, accepted payment methods and applicable due dates will be stated in the written quotation provided before work begins. Where a deposit is required, work will commence once payment has been received. Final drawing files will be released once the outstanding balance has been paid in full, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Ownership and use of drawings
Once paid in full, you own the right to use the final drawings for the project they were prepared for. MC CAD Services retains the right to use completed, non-confidential drawings in our own portfolio and marketing material, unless you ask us in writing not to.
9. Confidentiality
We treat drawings, specifications and other material you share with us as confidential, and will not share them with third parties except where necessary to complete the work you've instructed, or where required by law.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific drawing or service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for losses arising from decisions made, or approvals sought, on the basis of information you supplied to us, or for the acts, omissions, design decisions or certifications of any other professional involved in your project.
11. Cancellation
If you cancel a project after work has started, you remain liable for the portion of the quoted fee corresponding to work already completed.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time you instruct us applies to your project.
